  Engineer - Erik could build a plane that flies from a stack of wood. In 2002 his team placed 2nd at the World Unmanned Autonomous flying Aircraft competition at Epcot.They returned in 2003 with a larger craft, "The Beast", as seen on Discovery.  
  Musician - Player, Producer, Band Member  
  Comedic Actor - One take, pitch perfect, merciless wit  
  Party Guy - booze with the best of them  
  Friend - Never met a stranger  
  Brother - Let me count the ways  
  Underwater explorer - Erik's goal was to live under the sea. He worked on The Bottom Time II dive boat. He got his license young and dove every chance he got.  
  Pilot - EE could fly model aircraft at a high level, surely small planes though unlicensed, and often practiced flying simulators, in particular helicopters  
  Motorcycle rider - dirt and road. The RZ350 was his last bike.  
  Rocket Scientist - he built rockets since childhood. LDRS was in his sights.  
  Hypnotist - Got us all into this in the early 90's. He did stage shows in San Fran.
